According to Facebook, J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit have both ranked as two of the most popular books by users (behind the Harry Potter series and To Kill a Mockingbird.
Premier Christian Radio will broadcast an interview with Michael Tolkien on Saturday 11th October at 20.00 (BST). They say: “Michael talks about his books and poetry, as well as sharing some memories about his grandfather.”
The Hungarian Tolkien Society is hosting its ninth Tolkien Mailing Competition. This year, however, the “Quendi” category is open to Tolkien fans from around the world to win the honour of being crowned the winner of the HTS’s competition.
