Curtis Brown Heritage have today announced that they have been appointed to represent the Tolkien Estate (including the Tolkien Trust) on all commercial partnerships and licensing arrangements, including permissions requests.
It is with great sadness that we can confirm that Tolkien’s son and literary executor Christopher Tolkien has died at the age of 95.

Priscilla Tolkien has died at the age of 92. She passed away peacefully on 28 February 2022 after a short illness. The Tolkien Society sends its deepest condolences to the Tolkien family and all Society members who knew Priscilla.
On this day exactly 100 years ago, an emaciated J.R.R. Tolkien left Brooklands Officers’ Hospital and was transferred to a convalescent hospital in Blackpool.
