Terry Pratchett’s favourite fantasy author is Tolkien
Sir Terry Pratchett, known to readers the world over with his best-selling Discworld series, has told The New York Times that his favourite fantasy author is J.R.R. Tolkien.
In the interview, Pratchett is asked “Who are your favorite fantasy novelists?” to which he responds:
O.K., I give in. J. R. R. Tolkien. I wrote a letter to him once and got a very nice reply. Just think how busy he would have been, and yet he took the time out to write to a fan.
